How I Changed My Fear Of Failure

How would you label these scenarios:

  • Emails that get zero response
  • Programs that no one buys
  • Social media posts that no one comments on
  • Live streams that no one interacts with

FAILURES… or experiments?

I used to be deathly afraid of failing.

Then everything changed for me when I started looking at myself as a ‘scientist’.

A scientist doesn’t beat themselves up when an experiment doesn’t work. It’s part of the process.

One thing that all successful entrepreneurs know is that finding what works requires constant experimentation.

And that experiment requires you to try things that aren’t guaranteed to work out.

After years of trial and error building Archangel to what it is today, I would venture to say that your success will be directly related to your willingness to try, fail, & try again until you find a combination that works for you, your business, and your clients.

Once you frame your journey as an experiment, you will no longer need to fear or resist “failure” because you welcome it as a sacred part of the process of fine tuning your craft and becoming the person that you’re meant to be.

This mindset will give you EQUANIMITY (my new favourite word) – “mental calmness, composure, and evenness of temper” as you build your business.

As you build equanimity, your “failures” will no longer be failures, they will just be data points in your experiment.

When you no longer fear failure, you experiment faster, and your results accelerate.

Even if you feel burdened by over-thinking and fear of failure, I recommend playing with the idea of your business being an EXPERIMENT.
